What is the difference between hot cast and cold cast polyurethane?

Hot cast (thermoset castable urethane) uses heated prepolymer and curative metered and mixed by the machine, then cured in heated molds — giving high abrasion resistance and load capacity for wheels, rollers and seals. Cold-cast and DIY resin kits cannot reach the same mechanical properties or throughput.
